Soil is starting point of flow and the end of all rests of both autotrophic and heterotrophic life, which illustrate inspirational sentences of poet soil scientist Francis Hole: “Incredibly complex array of elements and compounds flows in balanced fashion, into our bodies along the nutrient chain. The sedentary life and culture, started about 8 000 years B.C. on fluvial soils of Nile, Euphrates, Tigris, Indus, Ganges and Yangtze River. After the first, juvenal phase of humanity, means, in- habiting and fulfilling of fertile soils of river humanity finds the best conditions for next phase of maturing of humanity, inhabiting soils on aeolian sediments like loess and fine sand, Chernozem (Černozjom, تشيرنوزم ,, 黑鈣土, चेनŖज़ेम, Chernozem, Phaeozem, Schwarzerde).
n the centre of life was, is now, and will stay forever Chernozem – dark, humus reach steppe soil, which according to its importance should be declared as heritage of humanity!In 51st year of active life in science and education in life sciences one of us (F. Basic) is a living witness of destroying of Croatia, especially Croatian Chernozem (phaeozem) in western Srijem (Ilok, Vukovar), using very similar manuscript, means to what is now in Ukraine.
Personally (F. Basic), as friend of Russian people, music, art, poetry and a follower of ingen- ious Russian scientist, founder of Soil science V.V. Dokutchaev, but at the same time, because of experiences a strong opponent of the present war in Ukraine I point out complex conse- quences of pedocide of global breadbasket Chernozem is a sure risk for our survival! In his monograph Ruskii Chernozem, based just on unbelievable fertile dark soil of Ukraine V.V. Dokutchaev; followed by: K. D. Glinka and Curtis F. Marbut (who learned Russian in the late age of life to understand original thoughts of Dokutchaev), Schatz (Russian origin), H. Jenny, Mitscherlich, Kubiena and numerous of Russian, like Kovda, Kono- nova, Lebedeva stresses the crucial role of Chernozem Without yields from Chernozem, actual population can’t achieve global food security.
Taking in account that current war events in Ukraine we expect changed socio-political relations toward green economy- photosynthesis based branches of economy which means agriculture with appropriate food processing, forestry with appropriate wood processing industry.
Or: socially, economic, environmentally and climatic (CO2 neutral) sustainable development, based on “fruits of photosynthesis" with non-limited abundant source of aerobiosis - oxygen, originated in process of photo synthesis! With the basis on explained arguments, we warn:
STOP THE PEDOCIDE OF CHERNOZEM IN UKRAINE!!! REMEMBER YOUR HUMANITY AND FORGET THE REST!
