The editor plays a critical role in dealing with any received information, complaints, or misconduct by the author or reviewer. The editor serves as the primary point of contact for authors, reviewers, and the publisher. The editor has the authority to decide whether to accept or reject a manuscript for publication. The following are some important guidelines.

  • The primary role of an editor is to take care of Peer review process and suggestions to improve the journal quality by complying the policy guidelines given by the publisher.
  • Check whether the submitted manuscript fits within the scope of journal and assign the article to the appropriate reviewer's based on area of expertise.
  • An editor's primary responsibility is to oversee the peer review process and make suggestions to improve the journal's quality while adhering to the publisher's policy guidelines.
  • Check to see if the submitted manuscript is within the scope of the journal, and then assign the article to the appropriate reviewers based on their area of expertise.
  • Editors bear full responsibility and authority to reject or accept an article in accordance with journal policies.
  • Any manuscript submitted for review must be treated as a confidential document.
  • The editor should give each manuscript submitted for publication fair consideration and judge it on its merits, regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender, seniority and institutional affiliation of the author
  • An Editor can make changes to the manuscript as needed.
  • An Editor must establish a clear statement of journals, editorial policies, and guidelines for authors to follow when preparing and submitting manuscripts.
  • The submitted manuscript may not be used in any way by the editor's own work. Editors should not allow any conflicts of interest between staff, authors, reviewers, and board members.
  • Inform authors of solicited manuscripts that their submissions will be evaluated in accordance with the journal's standard procedures, or outline the decision-making process if it differs from those procedures
  • The editor is responsible for retracting the paper if the published work is invalid or contains errors.
